  • Music Composition

  • Songwriting

  • Music Production (Ableton/ProTools)

My educational philosophy is to meet my students where they are at and elevate them from there.

Whether you’re interested in songwriting, composition, music production, or any/all of the above, my goal in lessons is to help you write YOUR music. We will develop the techniques needed to bring your ideas to life, problem solve issues in you may be facing in your practice, and help you become the best creative version of yourself.

Lessons will include looking at your music, listening to and analyzing other’s works, practicing relevant musical techniques, and finding practical solutions to common issues like writer’s block.

I believe that writing music can be a lifelong, joyful pursuit and my goal is to help you fall in love with the process of writing music.

I have taught music theory and composition at the Birmingham Jr Conservatoire, Syracuse University, Onondaga Community College, and privately around the world. Past students have continued their studies at the Eastman School of Music, Boston University, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and King’s College London, among other places.

Lessons are available online or in person (I am based in Syracuse, NY).
