Kevin Baldwin is a saxophonist and composer with extensive training in modern and experimental techniques.  As a saxophonist, Kevin has traveled and performed as a soloist and in ensembles all over the world, including Canada, France, Italy, and China.  The New York Times called one of Kevin’s performances “precise and energetic…” Kevin has performed with numerous ensembles such as Iktus+Ensemble Mise-en, Hotel Elefant, QubitTempus Continuum Ensemble, and Inverted Space. Kevin has made a name for himself focusing on modern saxophone and performance techniques; he utilizes these skills to commission and premiere a wide array of new works in solo and chamber settings.

As a composer, Kevin has received commissions and several other premieres from ensembles and individuals such as Martha Cargo, Anne H. Goldberg-BaldwinandPlay, loadbang, and Ensemble SurPlus. Planned CD recordings by Martha Cargo and Anne H. Goldberg-Baldwin will feature Kevin's newest works, body and... and... for solo bass flute, and an untitled work for piano. Coinciding with experiments in instrumental technique, Kevin has worked heavily with notation and the visual aesthetics of his scores to utilize semiology to change the performers relationship between the score and sounds.

Kevin holds his D.M.A.in Music Composition at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He received his M.M in Contemporary Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and a B.M. in Music Education and Music Composition at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.

Praised for his “bold, original, and attention grabbing” sound world that blurs the lines between ambient, noise, electronic, and classical music, Chris Cresswell is an internationally recognized composer, sound artist, and guitarist. His award winning music has been performed in local cafes, art museums, universities, and world class concert halls around the world. He built a sound installation for the UK’s largest indoor rainforest biome at The Eden Project in Cornwall and once premiered a piece in an abandoned local cinema high atop the remote island cliffs of Madeira, Portugal. He is currently the artistic director and guitarist of 315 Ensemble and released his debut album on Ravello Records with 315’s eponymous release in March 2018. He is currently working on completing a follow up solo record as part of his With Electronics project, featuring the electric guitar and electronics. The 2018-2019 season will include new compositions for trumpet, soprano, and electronics for the Byrne:Kozar:Duo, which is scheduled to premiere at the DiMenna Center in New York City in April 2019 and a new work for glissando flute and electronics for South Dakota based flutist Tammy Evans Yonce.
